Notes from a Poetic Universe broadly follows two interlocking pathways, the first of which explores the potential of architecture and structure to transform the landscape and city into poetic environments – and the second focusing in on the rhythm and structures of the natural world which consciously, and subconsciously, feed back into aspects of our own design, architecture and innovation.

One path looks outward, to the city and the land, and at the power of structural ideas to reveal lyrical or transcendental qualities of their setting and essence. The other turns inward, to architecture, structure and land as discrete containers of thought, memory, sociability and ideas.
