Billy McQueen: Exhibition Review | Art New Zealand

Billy McQueen‘s recent exhibition Archive 02 was reviewed by Kyla Mackenzie in the new edition of Art New Zealand.
It’s a great edition, copies of which are available at the gallery. Mackenzie notes of Billy’s work: “McQueen’s intermediate figuration can evoke a fugitive timeless quality. The formal meditations in Archive 02 suggest distance and detachment from subject, and yet the works also operate within an area of affection and familiarity“
